In addition, through our networks, we provide a wide range of services to immigrants traveling through or living in NYC.
Our networks include our parent organization, Grannies Respond/Abuelas Responden Inc., ROCC NYC, Afrikana, Metro Baptist Church, andthe National Immigration Transit Assistance group.
While we provide preliminary advice and assistance in these difficult times, our help is not a substitute for the services of an immigration lawyer.
Volunteer with the Legal Team
We offer monthly Zoom training sessions on asylum and work authorization forms, as well as additional asylum-related topics. The topics and current schedule can be viewed on the Sign-Up Genius link. PRO SE ASYLUM: We provide guidance to recent immigrants on completing their asylum and work authorization applications in our pro se (self-representation) legal clinics. Lawyers, lay people, and translators (Spanish, French, Arabic, and Wolof) are needed. Training will be provided.
