Dear Team TLC NYC Family, 

Last week, we threw a surprise party for a 23-year old asylum seeker. We told him he was helping me with some volunteer stuff, blindfolded him and took him to a mini surprise party put on by volunteer Ann and her beautiful family.

Freeze-Dance party, Honduran food, birthday cake, and duck duck goose with some three year olds.

It was a day to be remembered.❤️ Here at Team TLC NYC our goal is to create more days to remember than those they are trying to forget. 

Thanks to your help, we are able to make these moments happen. 
 

And this is 23. Detention-free.
No longer living in that peril yet fighting every day go overcome trauma.

TEAM TLC NYC | OUR MISSION

Team TLC NYC assists and supports individuals and families after they are released from ICE detention facilities and arrive in NYC to await their court dates.  We respond rapidly to urgent basic human needs and provide aid such as warm clothing, hot meals, and personal necessities. We are a community rooted in support and belonging while acting in service to these families.
